REPRESENT FCNE AT SURF CUP INTERNATIONAL IN SALOU, SPAIN

FCNE is currently evaluating players for its 2026 Spain rosters. 

 Selected players will travel with FCNE to compete at Surf Cup International in Salou, Spain. The experience combines international tournament competition, FCNE coaching, team development and structured travel in Spain. 

  • Travel dates: November 23–30, 2026

  • Location: Salou, Spain

  • Tournament: Surf Cup International

  • Eligible players: 

    • Boys (2010, 2011, 2012, 2015 & 2017)

    • Girls (2012, 2013 and 2014)

 Completing the eligibility request does not guarantee selection. Every player is evaluated according to current roster needs, position, age group and competitive fit.

 Is Your Player Eligible? 

 FCNE is currently reviewing players in the following categories: 

Boys: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016 & 2017

Girls: 2012, 2013 & 2014 

Recommended competitive level: Premier

Current roster status: 

Boys 2015 - 2017: 4 spots

Boys 2012 - 2014: 4 spots

Boys 2010 - 2012: 3 spots

 

Players may apply individually and do not need to transfer from their current club to be considered, provided that this accurately reflects FCNE’s model.

What FCNE Evaluates 

FCNE evaluates more than highlight-reel moments. The selection team considers: 

● Technical ability 

● Decision-making

● Team fit 

● Readiness for international competition and travel 

 

Applicants may be asked to submit match footage or a highlight-film link. Selection is not guaranteed. 

The Spain Experience 

Selected players can expect: 

● Entry into Surf Cup International 

● Competition against international opposition 

● FCNE coaching and team preparation 

● 2 scheduled training session(s) 

● 1 scheduled friendly

● A minimum of 4 tournament games 

● Team accommodations 

● Local transportation 

● Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided 

● Stadium tour and guided sightseeing 

● Structured supervision and team communication 

 

All itinerary details remain subject to the final tournament and travel schedule.

The player package is $2,850.

Deposit required: $350

Deposit deadline: Upon registration

Payment schedule: Monthly payments through 10/15

 

An accepted player’s roster position is secured only after FCNE receives the required enrollment documents and deposit. 

Can Parents Travel? 

Yes, parents and family members may attend.

Parents are not required to travel with the player if FCNE’s supervision model allows players to travel independently.

Player Safety and Supervision 

Players will travel under the direction of FCNE’s designated coaches and staff. 

The supervision plan includes: 

● 10:1 player to staff ratio 

● Individual travelers fly with FCNE staff or coach 

● Rooming:

Families room together

Individual players with a teammate

● All communications via WhatsApp

 

The lead coach for this experience is Coach Jon Bradley.

What Happens After You Apply? 

1. A parent or guardian completes the eligibility request. 

2. FCNE reviews the player’s birth year, position, level and roster fit. 

3. FCNE may request game footage or additional information. 

4. Qualified families are invited to a parent call. 

5. Selected players receive an official acceptance and enrollment package. 

6. The required deposit and documents secure the roster position. 

FCNE aims to respond to qualified applications within 24 hrs. 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Question: Does my player have to leave their current club? 

Answer: No. FCNE’s international tournament roster allows qualified players to participate while remaining with their current club.

 

Question: Does completing the form guarantee selection? 

 

Answer: No. Submitting an eligibility request allows FCNE to evaluate the player. Selection depends on competitive fit, birth year, position and current roster needs. 

 

Question: Does my player need a passport? 

 

Answer: Yes. Players traveling internationally require a valid passport. Families whose player has a passport application in progress should disclose that during the eligibility process. 

 

Question: Can a parent travel with the team?

Question: What if my player does not have a highlight film? 

 

Answer: If you do not have highlight film available, no problem! Please email recruiting@fc-ne.com for next steps.

 

Question: How quickly will FCNE respond? 

 

Answer: Qualified families should expect a response within 1 business day. 

 

Question: When is payment required? 

 

Answer: Accepted families must submit $350 deposit per person upon registration to secure the player’s position. The remaining balance follows the published payment schedule. 

 

Question: What happens if the trip is cancelled or our player can no longer attend?

Question: Who should complete the eligibility form? 

 

Answer: A parent or legal guardian should complete the form for any player under 18.
